Set up a recurring bill or income
Schedule a bill, a paycheck or a regular transfer once: the app posts each occurrence as pending, and nothing moves until you mark it paid.

This is for the grown-up who wants rent, a paycheck or a subscription to show up on its own every month instead of being typed in again.
Open the recurrences list
To get there on a phone:
- Go to More.
- Tap “Activity”.
- Tap the “Recurring” icon at the top.
On a computer, Activity sits in the sidebar instead of More. The Home screen’s “Coming up” card also has a “See all” link that lands on the same “Recurrences” list.
Create one
Tap “New recurrence” and fill in the form:
- Pick an “Account”.
- Choose a “Kind”: Income, Expense or Transfer. A transfer also asks for a “To account”.
- Pick a “Category” (not for transfers).
- Enter an “Amount”, or check “Amount varies each time” for a bill like electricity.
- Fill in “Description” (up to 200 characters).
- Set “Repeats”: Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Every 2 months, Quarterly, Every 6 months or Yearly. Monthly is selected to start.
- Set “Starts on”, and if it should stop, “Ends on (optional)” or “Number of occurrences (optional)”.
- Tap “Save recurrence”.
Each occurrence is dated from the start date, so a bill that starts on the 31st lands on the last day of a shorter month without dragging later months along.
What happens next
The app creates occurrences out to the end of next month and tops them up overnight. Nothing is paid automatically. A fixed-amount occurrence appears as a pending transaction that moves no account balance until you open it and tap “Mark paid”; “Mark unpaid” reverses that.
A variable-amount recurrence creates nothing until you give it a number. On the recurrence screen, under “Occurrences”, each one offers “Fill”: enter the “Amount” and tap “Confirm”. Until then it counts as zero in the budget (see Assign every dollar). A variable transfer cannot be filled by hand, and the app says so: “This occurrence is part of a transfer and cannot be filled by hand.”
Change or delete it
Open a recurrence from the list to edit it. Once it has occurrences, the kind and the varies setting are locked: “This recurrence already has occurrences. Change its kind by deleting it and creating a new one.” The account is fixed too. Everything else, including the amount, the category and how often it repeats, can still change.
“Delete recurrence” asks “Delete this recurrence?” and warns: “Its scheduled occurrences go with it.” Confirm with “Yes, delete this recurrence”.
